Corby fans had to wait until the 80th minute for the first and only goal of the afternoon when Mark Stallard finished off a fine Joe Francis cross to win a fast, tough and exciting game.
Northwich Victoria came to the Rockingham Triangle on the back of a full points holiday weekend and it was clear to see they are no pushovers.
Corby had to fight every inch of the way and Mark Osborn and his defence were magnificent absorbing attack after attack.
Joe Francis made the difference when he came on as a substitute for his first game of the season having previously been laid up with a pre-season injury.
Corby earned the points this afternoon the hard way but they battled well and in the end deserved the result.
