Corby Town 4 - 1 Vauxhall Motors (H)
Straight from the kick off Corby Town showed their intention and although at half time there was no score it always looked like a game with goals to come.
The surprising thing was that it was Vauxhall Motors who opened the scoring 46 minutes, immediately after half time with a goal from Josh Macauley.
Fortunately for Steelmen supporters it only took two minutes to draw things level when Corby's top scorer Leon Mettam rolled the ball into Coates far corner.
Five minutes later 53 minutes, it was Jack Defty who forced the ball home even though he had two Vauxhall Motors defenders to contend with.
Three minutes later a Jamie McGhee cross was met by a flying header from Leon Mettam and Corby were on their way.
The only surprising thing again was that we had to wait until the 80th minute before Jack Defty scored again.
The poor home form this season looked a thing of the past and manager Graham Drury will be feeling those bad old days have been put behind us.
